About Us
Born in East Jerusalem. Built for Everyone.
The Medical Centre of Excellence was founded on a simple but radical belief: that the quality of your healthcare should never depend on where you were born, what language you speak, or which side of a border you live on.
Our Story
A Vision Rooted in the Community
The Medical Centre of Excellence was established in East Jerusalem by a group of clinicians, public health specialists, and community advocates who had witnessed first-hand the devastating toll of unmanaged diabetes in the region's most underserved communities.
They saw patients losing limbs to preventable complications. They saw families destroyed by blindness and kidney failure that could have been avoided with basic specialist care. And they saw a healthcare system that, for structural, political, and economic reasons, was failing the people who needed it most.
The answer was not to build another clinic that patients could not reach. It was to bring the clinic to them. The mobile health hub model was born — and with it, a commitment to serve every community, regardless of nationality, religion, or political affiliation.
Our Values
What we stand for
Universal Care
We serve every patient equally — Israeli, Palestinian, Arab, Jewish, Christian, Muslim. Our hubs operate without distinction.
Clinical Excellence
Our teams are trained to international standards. We do not compromise on the quality of care because of where we work.
Community First
We design our services around the communities we serve — their languages, their cultures, their daily realities.
Radical Transparency
We publish our outcomes, our finances, and our governance. Donors and patients deserve to know exactly how their trust is being honoured.
