Our Impact

Changing Lives, One Community at a Time

The diabetes crisis in Israel and Palestine is one of the most urgent and overlooked public health challenges in the region. Here is what we know — and what we are doing about it.

The Scale of the Crisis

The numbers behind our mission

1 in 3Adults in the Palestinian territories have diabetes or pre-diabetes
17%Of Israeli Arabs have Type 2 diabetes — nearly double the national average
60%Of diabetes cases in underserved communities go undiagnosed
Higher risk of amputation for patients without access to specialist foot care

Patient Stories

Voices from the communities we serve

I had been feeling unwell for years but never knew why. The mobile hub came to our neighbourhood and within an hour I had a diagnosis. They gave me medication and showed me how to manage my condition. I feel like I have my life back.

Ahmad, 54

East Jerusalem

Outcome: Diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. Now stable on oral medication with quarterly hub check-ins.

My doctor was far away and I could not always travel. When the hub came to us, the nurses were so kind. They checked my eyes and found early damage — they said if we had waited another year I might have lost my sight.

Miriam, 67

East Jerusalem

Outcome: Early diabetic retinopathy detected. Referred for laser treatment. Vision preserved.

I was told I had diabetes two years ago but I had no way to get insulin regularly. The hub team set up a supply plan for me and taught my wife how to help me manage it. We are not alone anymore.

Khalil, 41

West Bank

Outcome: Insulin supply chain established. HbA1c reduced from 11.2% to 7.4% in six months.

Measured Outcomes

Evidence-Based Care That Works

Every patient interaction is recorded and outcomes are tracked over time. We measure HbA1c reduction, complication rates, medication adherence, and patient-reported quality of life.

Our clinical model is built on international best practice and adapted for the specific cultural, linguistic, and logistical realities of the communities we serve. We publish our outcomes data annually and welcome independent audit.
